Our students perform in front of thousands
Next weekend two of our students will be participating in A Greek Festival at Darling Harbour. Our students will be reciting some poems that they have been learning in Greek School in front of an audience of thousands.
One of the truly wonderful things about our multicultural society is that we have the opportunity of sharing with and learning from each other on a daily basis. We don’t have to travel to far away places to learn about the world. The cultures, traditions, beliefs, music, languages and foods of our neighbours, friends and classmates enrich our lives every single day.
It’s one of the great things about BEING AUSTRALIAN
The 26th annual Greek Festival of Sydney will launch with a special two day long celebration at Darling Harbour on the 29th and 30th of March. Why not go along with your family, take your appetites and your dancing shoes for two days of music, fine food and Greek festivities.
Entry is free of charge for all. click on the greek flag to get more information

Hi,
We are group of kids, teachers and others who live, work, play and learn together in Sydney’s inner south west.
We are always talking about texts at school. When we compose texts we need to consider both audience and purpose. We’ve been learning a lot about publishing through making our own webpages on our school intranet. (thanks to you Stu !)
The podcast project is an attempt to give our work an even bigger audience and to have some fun at the same time.
Stage 2 abd 3 at our school are exploring the meaning of being Australian and will be using the podcast as away of sharing our ideas with the WORLD ! And maybe even getting some feedback………..are you tuned in ?
Today’s test run includes a video which uses images and music to complement the wonderful Dorothea McKellar poem ”My Country”. The video was produced using Photostory 3 for Windows. This program is easy and intuitive and best of all can be downloaded for free. Why not have aplay with it yourself?
